How we grade condition
Every MacBook Air M4 is assessed against the same four condition tiers we use across all devices:
- Excellent — no visible wear, fully functional, strong battery health
- Good — light cosmetic wear, fully functional
- Fair — visible wear and/or reduced battery health, fully functional
- Damaged — cracked screen/glass or functional faults — still buyable, see below
What affects your MacBook Air M4 offer
- Battery cycle count — should be low on a device this new
- Screen and body condition — being newer, damage affects the offer more noticeably
- Keyboard and trackpad condition
- RAM and SSD configuration (13-inch or 15-inch)
- macOS account sign-out status
Common faults we see on MacBook Air M4
None of these rule out a sale — they're factored into the offer, same as with any device we buy.
- Light keyboard wear from daily use
- Faint marks on the screen from keyboard contact when closed without a cloth

Before you sell
Back up anything you want to keep, then sign out of iCloud and erase the Mac (System Settings → General → Transfer or Reset). A MacBook still signed into iCloud can't be purchased.

You'll need to recover it through Apple's account recovery process first — we can't remove iCloud lock on your behalf.
