Every MacBook Air M2 is assessed against the same four condition tiers we use across all devices:
- Excellent — no visible wear, fully functional, strong battery health
- Good — light cosmetic wear, fully functional
- Fair — visible wear and/or reduced battery health, fully functional
- Damaged — cracked screen/glass or functional faults — still buyable, see below
What affects your MacBook Air M2 offer
- Battery cycle count — visible under System Settings → Battery
- Screen condition, including any coating wear or scratches
- Keyboard and trackpad condition
- RAM and SSD configuration
- macOS account sign-out status

None of these rule out a sale — they're factored into the offer, same as with any device we buy.
- Keyboard key shine or slightly worn lettering from daily use

Before you sell
Back up anything you want to keep, then sign out of iCloud and erase the Mac (System Settings → General → Transfer or Reset). A MacBook still signed into iCloud can't be purchased.
Common questions about selling a MacBook Air M2
Yes — battery wear is factored into the offer rather than disqualifying the device.
You'll need to recover it through Apple's account recovery process first — we can't remove iCloud lock on your behalf.
