What affects the offer
The extent of the crack, whether the touch response still works, and whether the display shows other abnormalities (discolouration, dead pixels, lines) all factor into your estimated quote. A hairline crack in one corner with fully working touch is a very different offer to a shattered screen with dead zones.
Screen crack vs back glass crack — does it matter?
Yes, generally. Front screen damage affects usability more directly and tends to weigh more heavily on the offer than back glass damage, which is largely cosmetic. A phone with both will be assessed on the combined impact, not just added together.
What if the touch doesn't respond at all?
A non-responsive touch area or a screen that doesn't display anything still has resale value in its parts — battery, camera, chassis, logic board — even if the display itself is a write-off.
